Welcome To Our School

"Providing excellent care, guidance and support"

I have great pleasure in welcoming you to our school website. I hope it will tell you a little about our school aims, and the things we are fully committed to. All of us at Laleham Gap, the Governors, staff and pupils are very proud of our school and its history.

At our school we continually update our policies, procedures and prospectus in order to keep in line with current changes. One of our key aims is to achieve the highest possible standards in achievement, behaviour and development from all our children, and we have an ongoing continuous programme to encourage students to achieve their best and obtain a range of GCSE's at age 16. As one of the county's specialist provisions of high functioning pupils aged 4-16 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Speech and Language Disorders, we welcome prospective parents/carers to come and look around our school on our open days/mornings and talk with our specialist staff. We offer both day and residential places (weekly, term-time) at our Secondary School site located in Cliftonville, Margate and day teaching services at our Primary School site in Broadstairs. All pupils have a Statement of Education Needs (SEN).

Within our Primary School the early years learning and development is very important and it's during these formative times that the development of basic skills and the establishment of positive attitudes takes place. We believe that because we are a specialist school with both caring and experienced staff that we can offer a personal touch to learning within a secure and structured environment.

We continually update and make improvements to our website, and if you have any suggestions, please let us know, via the website administration e-mail.
